On September 8th, we unveiled the six foot bronze sculpture of Joseph playing baseball at South Shore Little League in Staten Island. With about 175 people in attendance, artist Gregory Perillo spoke of Joseph's love of baseball and why he was inspired to do this sculpture. South Shore Councilman Vinny Ignizio spoke in support of the foundation and expressed the positive impact our mission will have in our community and beyond. Father Dillon of St. Joseph St. Thomas Church was also in attendance to bless the sculpture and say a prayer. You can see photos of the event on the photo gallery page.
On April 13th, we held our 3rd annual RollerJam fundraiser. We are pleased to announce that we raised nearly $17,000 that evening! Thank you all who attended, and thank you to the Fierce dancers of Fierce dancing school who delighted us with their outstanding performances. Special thanks to Danny Estrella of M2M who donated his services and was our Master of Cermonies for the evening. Without all your love and support, this wouldn't be possible. From our hearts, we thank you.
